There is no agony quite like having to fill a prescription. I reconfirmed this truth today when picking up a tube of ointment ordered by my doctor. A simple tube in a box. No pills to count. Just a tube. In any other world, this would be a 30-second task. In the magical world of pharmacology, it means a 20-minute wait in the magazine aisle.

Of course, as luck would have it, I picked a pharmacy without a magazine rack. So I wandered around looking at the creams, pills, and breath mints. Then I spotted these leftover Valentine's bears looking forlornly out the window. It will be 11 more months before they get another chance to win a spot on some single girl's nightstand. Inutterably sad, really.
